Needed walkthrough too often

The Lost City is a beautiful game, and was fun at times, but I stumbled upon some inventory pieces out of order and got royally mixed up at times. I gave four stars because its a pretty short game, but needs the walkthrough too often. Unlike other older Big Fish Games from other developers, this game never gave me a hint of sticking, freezing, failure to play animations, or touch control issues. The background noises are excellent, loved the water effects. Thanks for a good time, Fire Maple!

Great for kids, too

I needed something to play with my 9 year old girl. A lot that is out there is too scary or disturbing. I played all 3 titles by this company. alice, fountain, and manor. Loved all of them. I hate big fish and G5 type games because they are simply stupid rooms with where you find items mixed in with other items. These games do not have that. These are great adventure even though graphics are weak. The other thing I like about this is the hint system. mediacity games are similar to this but these games have a better hint system.

Cute but confusing at times

This game was very cute but I got lost often and needed hints quite often. However, it was still very fun!

Awesome....

fire maple your a good reason why I still keep my hopes high, for classic adventure gaming!

Decent

Good idea and pretty well done. It can be a little vague as someone else said. I found myself using the hint a couple of times.

Lacking something?

This was a very well-designed game, easy to play, a great help system. But it was just lacking something. Not in the technical play of the game, but in the magical feel that some other games capture so well. I wouldnt recommend it if youre looking for a good story or something with real mystique.

All around good puzzle game

After playing The Room I was looking to scratch that itch for another puzzle game. This didnt disappoint. It wasnt very difficult and not as much puzzle, as the Room. It was more of a scavenger hunt. I wish you could pan the view on each scene but you cant. The story line was a bit confusing too.

A nice afternoon

Not terribly long and not terribly complicated other than remembering your way around but the map helped. Completed in an evening but I did feel like I got my moneys worth. Appropriate for older children if they like puzzle games. I enjoy games that you can take your time with and not worry about the clock running out or dying if you make a wrong turn.

Ten Stars!!! at the least!!!

The most AWEsome, elegant game ----graphics, scenery drawing me in, music remains so enjoyable, entire landscapes cycling with all 4 seasons. Myst-like, thx 4 bldg in the walkthrough, too. My favorite of all time! And ive already looked up yr other ones..(games)... Now several yrs. gone by, & im talking apps w/ someone, and for all the games played since, Lost City is THE one ive most fondly enjoyed & loved. Thx 4 mentioning other similar games, here i go...

one of my favorite puzzle game!

even five stars cannot show how I love this game. Solved it at least 1 year ago and now its still one of my favorite puzzle game on iOS.

High five

Designed with intelligence, clarity and leave you with an achievement when done

Awesome Game

This was a beautiful game, well worth your time. You just have to do it....

Needs Work

This games was quite terrible. I enjoyed the idea of using different seasons for different puzzles. The game did not do this idea justice. It was way too difficult and I kept finding myself in the hint menu, which is unlike me to use hints. Also, just to add, I wish there was a back button instead of having to click the bottom of the screen multiple times. This games needs work. For a real point and click game, check out the forever lost series: 10/10 for that game and not this one.

Very well done!

As a long time fan of the Myst series I found myself right at home in this world. Clever and challenging puzzles combined with gorgeous graphics and serene music make for a great, if a tad short, experience. Recommended.

Clever!

I play a lot of these point-and-click adventure games, and its been a while since Ive enjoyed one as much as this. It has a clever game mechanic and is challenging without being too difficult. The only thing I dont like about it is the awkward map system, but that is well worth tolerating for the rest of the game.

5/5!!

Not overwhelming and not underwhelming. If you like escape type of games (and nature) you will love this game. It looks beautiful, great for ages 8 and up, and it will take you a while to finish (cuz who wants to finish fast?)

Fun but...

Fun, but... 1) the time between hints is way too long. 2) game defaults back to menu if you leave the app. Annoying if you jump out of the app for a few seconds. 3) the next step in the puzzle is sometimes not obvious and I have to wait for the hint. 4) hint countdown clock stops if you leave the app.

Best adventure game

This game is well done in its screens, complexity and depth into solving numerous puzzles of various kinds. Not your typical five or six screen game or hidden objects game. Definitely makes you think.

Very Nice

Highly recommend. Fun and not so hard that youre searching the net for a walk through.

GREAT GAME!

Not too hard not too easy. I love that when I do look at a hint, its something that I need to do or know instead of telling me something I already know like some other games do. It would be nice to just be transported to another scene by merely touching the scene on the map instead of having to go from scene to scene to scene. Other than that I love this game.
